50 shots/6

Some years ago I bought a second hand Mamiya 645 super film camera because I wanted to have a go at shooting medium format.

I loaded up with fuji neopan acros black and white film stock and this is a shot from my back garden from that very first roll through the camera. I can still remember the excitement I felt when I waited for negatives and scans to come back from the lab (Long since put my darkroom away) and after having looked through the negs decided that I really loved this particular shot.

I love the range of tones, the sharpness and the overall composition and for a first click I was very pleased.
