Paul’s Photography Challenge: Low Key

Update; I have taken a few more pictures for this category and added them to the original post as an update.

These pictures were shot on the Pentax K20D with an old Pentax Super Takumar 50mm f1.4 Lens.
I went down into the cellar and used a small reading light as my only source, bouncing it off the walls rather than directly lighting the subjects.

Conversion to black and white using Adobe Bridge with Raw files and then Adobe Photoshop CS3.
I’m pretty happy with the results. Might do a few more if time allows.

Interestingly they do not look exactly the same on WordPress, (slightly darker here), as they do in Photoshop CS3 but click on them and they are a little better.

    • Thank You…The site background thing never occurred to me, other than I prefer light to Dark……you may have a point though.
      Thanks for dropping by.
